Zion – A Natural Sanctuary

What a difference half a decade makes. The last time I was here was in high school and  it’s just so interesting to see how my mindset on exploration has flipped upside down since then.

Quick highlights:

-slept in my car first night

-listening to Of Monsters & Men whilst in the Hidden Canyon trails

-Listening to thunderstorms at night

-waking up with the stars to hike Angel’s Landing

8 days, 8 photos

I come back to the States with bruises, cuts, and scars. But beyond the physical inconveniences, lies an adventure filled beautiful conversations, cultural awakenings, and memories that will last a life time. Here are 8 pictures that I feel encapsulates my short, but truly perspective changing time in Nicaragua.

Nicaragua has been an incredible experience that has shined a strong light into my life and brought questions to my mind about all the materialistic things I own and live by. In a way, it is hard to be back in America, especially here in the OC, but it is an inevitable and if anything, will continue to humble me and appreciate my surroundings. It has made me more confused about life in a couple months, career wise, but I have time to figure that out. For now, I am going to just enjoy the conversations, the faces, the images, and the feelings from Nicaragua each time I close my eyes.
